Miro (formerly known as Democracy Player) is a free program, an open source internet TV platform that helps you download and watch all the best internet TV shows and videos in one powerful application. New channels arrive daily in the built-in channel guide; it’s an extension of Firefox that have multiple options.
It makes video on the Internet not so frustrating and more enjoyable. You can view channels of Internet video, download videos of YouTube/Torrents, and watch them full screen, one after the other, all in one application. It changes the Internet video to Internet TV. It can be configured on startup to make it easier to know more about a user's system.
You can set Miro preferences to play videos one after another (in the order they appear) or to play a video then stop. Since Miro works so well for HD (High Definition) content, you'll find lots of video that looks beautiful in fullscreen on even the largest displays.
Due all the features that Miro have the performance could be affected, because it plays practically everything consuming the resources necessary for this. |
- Freeware.
- Play almost everything.
- Can download YouTube videos, and torrents.
- Easy to use.
|
- It didn’t have the best performance.
- Due the necessity of resources couldn’t manage it very well.
